Hahnemühle celebrates 425 years of quality papermaking for the arts

Very few companies in the world today can look back with pride over such a long, rich history. Since its founding in 1584 in Dassel, Germany, Hahnemühle has been dedicated to creating uniquely beautiful fine art papers in the traditional way, in the same location, using pure spring water and premium quality cellulose. Combining this old-world craftsmanship with a keen appreciation of the arts, Hahnemühle papers have become the number one choice of demanding painters, graphic artists, illustrators, bookbinders and photographers in more than eighty countries worldwide.

Creative souls use Hahnemuhle papers for their originals: watercolors, oil and acrylic paintings, drawings, pastel paintings, art reproductions and fine art prints. The traditional artist papers and digital inkjet papers are the ideal media for long lasting art works. They are to be found worldwide in exhibitions, galleries and museums.
